Been very busy with my new gig, reporting for uscombatsports.com and it is awesome. I am very thankful for an opportunity to do what I love, MMA journalism. No money, Mo problems
Whats going on everyone, good morning to you all. Just wanted to say I am glad to be blessed with another day and share my thoughts/ opinions with you all. I love the new banner that the homie Steve designed for me, he is really good at design and putting stuff together. Last week, I heard back from another MMA site forum I discovered and am now one of their writers/ reporters making my way up the ladder. It's pretty cool that my fanfare for MMA is paying off by letting me cover it, I would love to be a full fledged sports journalist one day, so maybe this is a step in the right path.

You have to call me, Nighthawk
There are few actors/comedians of our time who i feel truly are genius. In my opinion, Will Ferrell is the best in a while, If you do not care for his comedic style or acting stop reading, otherwise thank you for reading this. From his early days on SNL to movies and now being one of the biggest comedic actors of present time, Ferrell has tuned his style into a cult following. The best thing about him is the following and response he brings; you are or are not a fan, I have discovered the re is no "in-between"
Being a fan of both his movie and TV roles it is hard to determine what "his best" is. For movies, I would put Step Brothers at the top, with The Other Guys closely behind. Anchorman, Ricky Bobby, Elf were all good, amidst some of the lesser movies like Blades of Glory or Semi Pro. I am super stoked he is on "The Office" as a manager trainee for Dunder Mifflin and is being considered as a permanent replacement for Steve Carrell in the next season. Will Ferrell understands how to make people laugh and is good at it. His new movie, he is going to speak entirely in Spanish for his role, don't believe me...look at this gem below

Grass stains MMA
I have seen alot of things in my life so far that make me take a second look, give it extra thought, wonder what they were thinking when they did it. Examples would be: Godfather part 3, release the script to WWE before the events happen, electing Obama, a wide array of topics. A new item to the list is, Grassroots MMA. These are a group of guys who obviously have watched an episode of TUF, or even a few PPV events and think they are Anderson Silva's biggest threat.
From wearing jeans in a fight, to no mouthpiece's required (only saw one that I noticed) these kids are fighting on grass and dirt with 4oz. gloves and honestly trying to show they are fighters. Amateurs with a dream they may be, but they are shedding a negative light on a sport which although continues to blossom and become sanctioned, is still not accepted everywhere. Kids like these are the reason why New York state has yet to legalize MMA. Think I am just being mean? Watch the video below and respond with what you think. I am all for ambitious fighters who want to make MMA a career, if you want to do that - get into a local MMA gym and learn from trained professionals in a safe and learning environment.
